Who ever said ‘A place for everything and everything in its place” should alter the saying slightly considering the changing times.
It should read’ A place for everyone and everyone in one’s own place’ so that they are at liberty to flout rules society has ‘imposed’, if I may say so .
Again the expression ‘you are caught napping’ I think should be changed to ‘you are caught sleeping’ especially if you happen to be a vip of sorts to be caught on camera by the ever vigilant media. Recent instances of this have been reported where a reluctant ‘politician’ and a flight attendant made news for the wrong reasons.
But what ifthe so called’ rasika’ sitting in the front row is seen sleeping and snoring away to glory when all the audience without exception is engrossed in the concert ? At one such concert, I noticed all the five artistes –the young musician and all the accompanists suddenly breaking into a laughter and trying their best to suppress it even as they were trying to catch the eye of the sponsor of the programme, probably to whisk away the culprit distracting or ‘amusing ‘ them! When I craned my neck to see who this person was, I thought the best place to catch up with sleep would have been the person’s own bedroom!
