I feel all the three are present in most of us who begin with the first, turn it into the second and end up with the third. These also act as an elixir of life because without them life becomes boring and insipid. Some have a hobby for handwork, others in doing social work and yet others indulge in creative work and fine arts. Some have a hobby for shopping and gossiping as well. Today with all kinds of devices available, those who possess them quickly pass the three stages thus becoming addicted and spending time in making best use of these no matter what time it is of the day.
Some of the hobbies like shopping tend to become costly when it turns into compulsion (compulsive shoppers) The bright side of it is one never tires indulging in their hobbies which eventually turn into passion and compulsion because they apparently enjoy every moment and have no reason to complain that they are tired at the end of the day.
