Sri Raghavendra Swamigala Seva & Bhajana Mandali 01/06/2016

DSC_0505Sri Swamiji entered Brindavana alive in the year 1671,  and the day of His  Brindavana Pravesa was informed to all  His devotees.  The Brindavana was constructed accordingly and  His ardent devotee and disciple  Diwan Venkanna made all the arrangements for the designated day. Prior to Brindavana  pravesa    Swamiji performed  puja of LORD MOOLA RAMA ‘ and began  playing  on the Veena  a beautiful lyric ‘INDIGU ENEGE’ which spontaneously flowed from Him along with Veena  gana.  Lord Krishna danced to the tune of his music and gently lead Raghavendra  to the  Brindavana.  Swamiji   smiled, blessed all his devotees  before the great moment  of  His Brindavana  pravesa.

His successor Sri Yogindra Theertha performed Panchamritha Abisheka and Puja to Brindavan.

One of the Sishyas of Sri Raghavendra, Sri Appannacharya  who was inDSC_0551 Bikshalaya,  on the other bank of river Thungabadra, filled with sorrow  frantically rushed  to Mantralaya to get Raghavendra’s blessings. Though the river was in spate, it  paved the way to him to reach Brindavana.  Appanacharya  unconsciously started  reciting The sloka “ ‘Sri Purnaboda guru theertha’  DSC_0583describing the glories of Sri Raghavendra and his karunya to his devotees.  As he reached the brindavana  he was in….…..keerthi dig vijitha vibuthi rathula ……  he  was so  filled with emotion that his voice broke and  he couldn’t utter the words any more to complete the sloka.   Suddenly everyone around  noticed  the sloka being completed  with  “ SAKSHI  HAYAS HOTHRA HI’’- which means LORD HAYAGRIVA is the witness for fulfilling the desire of devotees of Raghavendra and  these words came from within the brindavana.
