Relatives vs friends or —? 9/10/2015

The other day while discussing about friendships /relationships among our closed group, some thought it was quite a challenge to maintain cordial relationship with one’s relatives because unlike friends, they  tend to misconstrue whatever you say and attribute motives for your every act of commission and omission. A few disagreed   vehemently arguing   that one cannot generalize because it depends upon individuals irrespective of whether they are your relatives or friends  and cited examples to prove their point. The discussion lead to a heated  debate and at the end of it all we all agreed that our opinion greatly depended on our experience with the two categories of people and  since  everyone is human  it is our  birthright to err without exception!
