A true journalist 4/11/2015

I had been  watching  India today channel where Rajdeep Sardesai  went to every nook and corner of Bihar  and gave us a peep into the lives of aam admi and their candid opinion about  the sad state of affairs which I feel is representative of  rest of the country, irrespective of the party in power. I was surprised   when some among the elite thought it was an exercise in futility with an ulterior motive of seeking publicity for himself and his channel. A true journalist’s job is to portray life in all its dimensions interacting with  people of  all strata of society and not hold   discussions on television with  spokesmen/sycophants  of  their respective parties  which  take us nowhere.

True. Investigative Journalism requires courage, dogged perseverance in the quest for truth and a apolitical stance. Some of these journalists have those traits. Good for our democracy.
