We chennaiites are still exchanging notes about the havoc created by nature as well as mankind (administration) even as rasikas of music and food are enjoying the ‘treat’, offered by the different sabhas and their canteens. What came as a revelation to me was some areas in Chennai, like Nehru nagar and Indira nagar appeared to have suffered the least with hardly any power cuts or floods entering their apartment complexes or individual houses. This is proof enough that these areas have the where withal to withstand the havoc created by nature coming out unscathed in the worst of times, not giving an opportunity to the administration to ‘steal the thunder’ for the efforts of young, educated and sincere chennaiites who instantly came to the rescue of the affected .
No wonder, nature has taught us a costly lesson –to differentiate between the genuine and the fake!
