Recently I visited an old friend of mine and she made my day most memorable. For the past few years I had been toying with the idea of catching up with some of my old friends with whom I had been in touch over the phone and mail but never got to visit them. Attributing it to lack of time I realized was just an excuse on the part of many and I am no exception.
My friend who had restricted her movements because of an infection in her leg came limping forward to greet me and her pleasure of seeing me had to be seen to be believed. We spent nearly two hours talking about old times and I noticed in between she was wincing but kept a cheerful face through out as was her nature. Again while I was leaving she saw me to the door walking with great difficulty and said the time spent with me made her totally forget the excruciating pain in her leg and our meeting acted like a tonic as it enlivened her spirits.
